The ASN2XSD tool translates an Abstract Syntax Notation 1 (ASN.1) source specifications to an equivalent representation in World-Wide-Web Consortium (W3C) XML Schema Definition language (XSD).

An XSD2ASN1 tool is also provided to do the reverse translation from XSD to an equivalent ASN.1 source file. This conversion process is based on the ITU-T X.694 standard which specifies a mapping from XSD to ASN.1. This program is described in the XML Schema to ASN.1 Conversion section.
