We are pleased to announce a new major release of our ASN1VE and ASN2TXT products.
ASN1VE (ASN.1 Viewer / Editor) is a graphical user interface (GUI) tool for analyzing and editing ASN.1 encoded data. New features added in this release include the following:
ASN1VE can now decode and encode Concise Binary Object Representation (CBOR) - as specified in IETF RFC 8949 - for most of the use cases represented by the ASN1VE samples.
ASN1VE will now work on newer Macs with the Apple M-series CPUs.
Improved ASN.1 schema code completion in the editor.
Improved built-in schema selection so the user can start typing a schema name, and the displayed options will be narrowed down to what is typed.
ASN2TXT is a command-line tool for translating ASN.1 encoded files such as CDR's into textual formats including XML, JSON, or CSV. New features added in this release include the following:
Added support for translating Concise Binary Object Representation (CBOR) - as specified in IETF RFC 8949 - to XML, JSON, or AVN.
Added support for translating JSON to CBOR (schema file required).
Added support to the GUI for specifying an AVN output file.
Added text (XML/JSON/AVN) to binary support to the GUI.
