Installing Our XML Data Binder

For Windows the installation kit for XBinder consists of a self-extracting executable that you simply double click to do the installation.

For all other platforms the installation kit consists of a compressed tar archive. The name of the archive will consist of a kit name followed by ".tar.gz". To install XBinder on these platforms, you uncompress the kit and then unpack it with the "tar" command. For example:

       
        unix> gunzip <kit name>.tar.gz
        unix> tar xvf <kit name>.tar
